PinnedNoticeRootblySub Pro launches Oct 14, and the free plan changes
Hi, this is RootblySub. Starting Saturday, Oct 14, we're launching RootblySub Pro. The free plan changes on the same day, so here's a heads-up. ■ Still free · Watching subtitles that already exist (unlimited) · The public feed and channel/language hubs · 3 subtitles a day (videos up to 1 hour) · Failed jobs don't count (same as now) · How many requests guests get without signing in (same as now) ■ What changes on Oct 14 (free plan) · Making subtitles: 3 per hour → 3 per day · Video length: up to 1h 30m → up to 1 hour · Saving subtitle files (SRT·VTT): Pro only (free users get a preview) ■ RootblySub Pro · No daily limit on making subtitles (within fair use) · Videos up to 3 hours · Save subtitle files (SRT·VTT) — straight into Premiere or CapCut · $6.99/month · Subscribe in the iOS or Android app. Pro works in the Chrome extension with the same account. ■ Launch offer New subscribers pay $4.99/month instead of $6.99 for their first 3 months. After that it continues at the regular $6.99/month, and you can cancel anytime. (The App Store and Google Play show the price in your local currency.) ■ Why Every new subtitle costs speech recognition and translation fees, which I've covered alone as a solo developer. To keep the service running, the costliest features (long videos, lots of requests) and subtitle files move to Pro. If you mostly watch videos with subtitles, you can keep using RootblySub for free.
