Our Master, the Commander of the Faithful, may God's blessings and peace be upon him, said that people forget in this world except for purposes that lead to death.

قال مولانا أمير المؤمنين صلوات الله وسلامه عليه من ناسوا في هذه الدنيا إلا أغراض تنتصل فيها المنايا

And they are plunderers of calamities with every sip of the East.

وهم فيها نهب المصائب مع كل جرعة شرق

And with every bite, there are choking hazards; they do not attain a blessing except by losing another. If you listened today to any news broadcast,

وفي كل أكلة غصص لا ينالون نعمة إلا بفراق أخرى لو استمعت اليوم إلى أي نشرة خبرية

you would find that this world is full of events, full of incidents.

لتجد أن هذا العالم مليء بالأحداث مليء بالحوادث

A war here, a problem there, a natural disaster.

حرب هنا مشكلة هنا حادثة طبيعية

An earthquake, a traffic issue in a third place, or you find individual incidents.

زلزال سير مشكلة في مكان ثالث أو تجد فيه الحوادث الفردية

Murder, crime, illness, an incident from the traffic accidents where people die.

قتل جريمة مرض عرض حادثة من الحوادث السير التي يموت فيها الناس

You deal with these incidents when you read them as a line from the news.

تتعامل أنت مع هذه الحوادث حينما تقرأها على أنها سطر من الأخبار

You read the news and then move on to the next story, dealing with the notion that the incident happening to him has nothing to do with him.

تقرأ الخبر ثم تنتقل إلى الخبر التالي يتعامل في موضع أن الحادثة التي تحدث له ليس له دخل فيه

He could not have prevented that incident from happening to himself.

لم يكن ليستطيع أن يمنع تلك الحادثة عن نفسه

Nor could he have known in any way that this incident, this calamity, would happen to him.

ولا كان من الممكن أن يعرف بأي صورة من الصور أن هذه الحادثة هذه المصيبة تحدث له

A family consisting of a father, a mother, and two daughters.

عائلة مكونة من أب وأم وطفلتين

They went for a walk in an area of a country.

ذهبوا للتنزه في منطقة من المناطق في بلد من البلدان

On their day off, they went to the mountain and parked their car by the roadside to admire the view of this mountain.

في يوم راحتهم ذهبوا إلى الجبل ثم جعلوا سيارتهم على قارعة الطريق حتى يتأملوا المنظر في هذا الجبل

They parked their car in a safe place on a safe day.

جعلوا سيارتهم في مكان آمن في يوم آمن

Nothing happens, no incident, no earthquake, nothing on the mountain.

لا يحدث لا فيه حادثة لا فيه سي لا فيه زلزال ليس فيه شيء على الجبل

And there is a dirt road at the top of this mountain.

وإذا أن في قمة هذا الجبل طريق ترابي

There are machines working on this road, suddenly one of these machines

فهناك آليات تعبد هذا الطريق فجأة واحدة من هذه الآليات

which is called a grader, breaks down, causing the driver to lose control and fall from the top of the mountain onto this car.

وهي التي تحدل الطريق المسمى حادلة تصاب بعطل يفقد السائق السيطرة عليها وتسقط من أعلى الجبال على هذه السيارة

The father and mother were outside the car and escaped, while the two daughters remained under this machine inside the car.

والأب والأم كان خارج السيارة فينجون والطفلتان يبوثون تحت هذه الآلية في داخل هذه السيارة

Do you think the father and mother had any part in this whole act?

ترى هل كان للأب والأم دخل في هذا الفعل كله

Could they have imagined that this incident could happen to them at all?

هل كان من الممكن أن يتصوروا أن هذا الحادثة ممكن أن تحدث لهم كله

This incident, this calamity, how much will it change the course of their lives?

هذه الحادثة هذه المصيبة كم ستغير وجهة حياتهم

For you, this is sad news; you grieve, you feel pain, and then you move on. But for that mother and that father, their lives changed dramatically.

بالنسبة إليك هذا خبر مؤسف تتحسر تتألم ثم تمر عليه أما بالنسبة إلى تلك الأم بالنسبة إلى ذلك الأب تغيرت حياتهم إلى النهار

أمير المؤمنين صلوات الله وسلامه عليه يصف

What happens in this world to a person in terms of calamities is that these calamities are the nature of this world

ما يحدث في دار الدنيا للإنسان من المصائب بأن هذه المصائب هي طبيعة هذه الدنيا

People in this world are nothing but targets

ما الناس في هذه الدنيا إلا أغراض

Where death connects with them

تنتصل فيها المناية وهم

In it, the plundering of calamities occurs with every sip

فيها نهب المصائب مع كل جرعة

In every bite, there are choking moments

شرق وفي كل أكلة غصص

They do not attain a blessing except by losing another, and even

لا ينالون نعمة إلا بفراق أخرى وحتى

3:33

The blessing they receive is only after they lose the blessing of a life that they had built and arranged and hoped for the future, so every life becomes chaotic

النعمة التي يحصلون عليها إنما يحصلون عليها بعد أن يفقدوا نعمة حياة كان قد بناها ورتبها ويأمل المستقبل فإذا كل حياة تخربط

Which aspect of his life has become chaotic? Why? Some of these calamities are all of one type

أي جانب من جوانب حياته تتخربت لماذا؟ بعضين هذه المصائب كلها على شاكلة واحدة

That is, they are all tests from God Almighty for man

أي أن كلها امتحانات الله سبحانه وتعالى للإنسان

The more a person has faith, the more he is tested

الذي كلما كان الإنسان أكثر إيمانا يكون أكثر ابتلاءا

And believers, therefore, the believer as in the narration comes out of one calamity and enters another, this is the case

والمؤمنون بالتالي المؤمن كما في الرواية يخرج من مصيب ويدخل في أخرى القضية هكذا

أم أنه لا؟ لا أنه هناك أنواع من المصائب والابتلاءات

وبالتالي وظيفة الإنسان في قبالها تختلف هذا بحثنا

بس يوم اللي بحدث في روايات أمير المؤمنين شبت هو هذا بحدث يحتاج تأمل حقيقي

In that the job we ignore the various disasters south of Zen

في أن وظيفة نتجاه المصائب المختلفة جنوب زين

First, it is clear that the rational person, the believer, the more he can avoid calamities, the more he does

أولا من الواضح أن الإنسان العاقل الإنسان المؤمن كلما استطاع أن يتقي المصائب يتقيه

That he prevents himself, how does he prevent? He prevents

أن يمنع عن نفسه كيف يمنع؟ يمنع

First, by knowing as in the narrations that some of the calamities and tests that a person is afflicted with as a human or as a member of society

أولا بأنه يعرف كما في الروايات أن بعضا من المصائب والابتلاءات التي يبتلى بها الإنسان كإنسان أو الإنسان في ضمن المجتمع
