بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم الحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله

And upon his family and companions, and those who follow him. This is the second session of the explanation of the three fundamental principles.

وعلى آله وصحبه ومن ولاه أما بعد فهذا هو المجلس الثاني من مجالس شرح الأصول الثلاثة

We have stopped at issues related to loyalty and disavowal, and we have learned that loyalty

وقد وقفنا عند مسائل تتعلق بالولاء والبراء وقد علمنا أن الولاء

means love and affection.

المقصود به المحبة والمودة

And assistance and closeness in heart and form, as they say.

والمعاونة والتقارب قلبا وقالبا كما يقولون

Here are some issues I would like to point out in this regard, which are important issues.

وهنا مسائل أحببت التنبيه عليها في هذا الباب وهي مسائل يعني مهمة

The first issue is that love is of two types.

المسألة الأولى المحبة نوعا

Natural love and religious love.

محبة جبلية طبعية ومحبة دينية

The first type is natural love.

النوع الأول محبة جبلية طبعية

And the second type is religious love. As for

والنوع الثاني محبة دينية أما

Religious love, if one loves

المحبة الدينية فإذا أحب

a Muslim who is an infidel to his religion or loves his religion has disbelieved in Allah, the Almighty

مسلم كافرا لدينه أو أحب دينه فقد كفر بالله عز وجل

Religious love is a love that takes a person out of the faith

المحبة الدينية محبة تخرج الإنسان من الملة

because it entails acceptance of disbelief and acceptance of what contradicts the religion of Islam

لأنها تقتضي الرضا بالكفر والرضا بما يضاد دين الإسلام

This is the second type, but the first type is natural love

هذا النوع الثاني أما النوع الأول وهو المحبة الطبعية

By natural love, we mean the love that a person cannot push away from himself

ونقصد بالمحبة الطبيعية المحبة التي لا يملك الإنسان دفعها عن نفسه

And this love has three types

وهذه المحبة ثلاثة أنواع

Love of reverence, love of mercy and compassion, and love of benefit and kindness

محبة إجلال ومحبة رحمة ورأفة ومحبة مصلحة وإحسان

Love of reverence is like the love of parents

محبة إجلال كمحبة الوالدين

It is a natural love arising from reverence

هي محبة طبيعية ناشئة عن الإجلال

like a person's love for his father and mother

كمحبة الإنسان لأبيه وأمه

The second type is love of mercy and affection, which is a natural instinctive love

النوع الثاني محبة رحمة وعطف وهي محبة طبيعية جبلية

like a child's love, as a person loves his child with love of mercy and affection

كمحبة الولد كحب الإنسان لولده الإنسان يحب ولده محبة رحمة وعطف

And it is a natural love, the third type is love of benefit and kindness

وهي محبة طبيعية النوع الثالث محبة مصلحة وإحسان

For a person loves those who do good to him

فالإنسان يحب من يحسن إليه

And the person loves those who do good to him

ومن يعني يقدم له مصلحة أو يدفع عنه ضررا

And so on, and some people classify natural love in another way.

ونحو ذلك وبعض الناس يقسم المحبة الطبيعية تقسيما آخر

And so on, and some people categorize natural love differently

فيقول المحبة الطبيعية محبة جمال ومحبة جلال

He says natural love is the love of beauty and the love of majesty

محبة جمال ومحبة جلال

The love of majesty is like the love of parents and the love of respect

فمحبة الجلال مثل محبة الوالدين ومحبة التقدير

And the love of beauty is for a person to love his children and those who do good to him and to love beauty in general

ومحبة جمال أن يحب الإنسان أبناءه ومن يحسن إليه ويحب الجمال بشكل عام

In any case, all these types fall under natural love

وعلى كل حال كل هذه الأنواع داخلة في المحبة الطبعية

And the natural love is permissible as long as it does not exceed religious love

والمحبة الطبعية الجبلية

It is what is meant by the Prophet's saying in the famous authentic hadith

لا بأس بها بشرط ألا تتجاوز المحبة الدينية

This is what is meant by the saying of the Prophet, peace be upon him, in the famous authentic hadith.

وهي المقصودة بقول النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في الحديث الصحيح الشهير

The Prophet, peace be upon him, referred in this hadith to the three types of natural love

لا يؤمن أحدكم حتى أكون أحب إليه من والده وولده والناس أجمعين

The love of reverence, the love of mercy, and the love of benefit and kindness

وقد أشار النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في هذا الحديث للأنواع الثلاثة للمحبة الطبيعية

None of you truly believes until he loves me more than his father, his child, and all people

محبة الإجلال ومحبة الرحمة ومحبة المصلحة والإحسان

So, natural love is like a person's love for his parents, his children, his wife, and those who do good to him

لا يؤمن أحدكم حتى أكون أحب إليه من والده وولده والناس أجمعين

It differs from religious love; if that is established, there is no necessary connection between the two loves

فإذن المحبة الطبعية مثل محبة الإنسان لوالده لأولاده لزوجته لمن أحسن إليه
