The Only Trading Setup You Need (Just 3 Steps)

It took me years in the market to develop the system I

trade, something that is consistent and structured through

the steps, and it took even longer to find inside of my system which specific setups and criteria actually perform the best over time.

So here I'm going to be sharing one of my top setups that I look for in trade inside of every single week.

This is something that is simple to follow because the steps are defined and you are simply looking for alignment in the market.

You're not doing predictions, you're not guessing, you're not including random concepts.

The market is either aligned with a setup and you're taking a trade or it's not and you're letting the day go. There's no in-between.

I'll be breaking this down top to bottom with trades that I've actually placed in a live market as always alongside some live execution clips.

So let's get right into this. Before we even think about placing a trade in the market,

we first have to set the framework off the higher timeframes to understand what the direction is that we're looking to trade so we can filter out the rest and put our focus to one side of that market.

I use the daily chart to set the framework. I don't go above it to the weekly or the monthly where the scope is too wide.

I don't drop down to the hourly from my initial perspective on the market.

The daily chart is exactly what I'm looking for because there's only one thing I care about.

Where is the current daily candle going and how is it going to get there?

That is the one question I have to have answered before I move on to any further step.

I use something called relevant swings off the daily time frame, which is drawing out and identifying the extreme highs and lows on the daily chart.

Don't worry if you don't already have a baseline understanding of

what relevant swings are, because once we get into the real trade

examples very soon, I'll share exactly how to identify them and what specific reactions we're looking for on reversal and continuation days under this setup that are going to give us the best follow through.

Once we have a valid engagement of a relevant swing

and we're sitting inside this expectation for the current

daily candle to expand to one side, this is where we're going to look inside of that day and profile the

sessions using the seven hour time frame that we're going to allow the Asia in London session to print and we're completely focused on where that New York session is going.

That is our window that we're looking to capitalize on. Finally, once we have that daily profile aligned with our expectation of the daily candle and we are looking to trade in that New York session,

we have everything we need to then seek an entry. We're looking to position inside of the continuation of that daily candle.

We don't need the high or low of day that's completely unnecessary.

We want a high confidence entry in the continuation once we know the reversal for the day is completely in place and that New York session is set to expand.

As you can see with these steps, this setup itself is focused on giving you the highest quality and probability chance of capturing that trend move inside of the daily candle.

We start with relevant swings that sets the framework the

profile confirms it and tells us exactly how that

new york session should trade and then once we have that understanding

we are entering in the continuation where our stop loss

is protected and then the higher time frame idea does

the rest of the work now that you know the logic behind this setup

and how these steps actually make it work let's get into

these real trade examples so you can nail down the understanding to

be able to apply this for yourself like i mentioned we're always

starting off the daily chart trying to set the framework using

relevant swings we are here on the daily time frame and

q is the pair and we have a new week that's opening this

is monday's daily candle in development and we want

to look left to identify our relevant swings we

can see off the lows of the previous week we had a manipulation confirmed

of this relevant low expansion away to the upside and then in this new week we gapped lower from the

previous week close and we've opened up right on

a relevant low why is this low a relevant swing it's

because we have a daily low that has a lot of separation

to this next daily low meaning that once

we engage this here there's nothing else for price to

reach for we know this reaction is meaningful now

that when we look on the other side of the market we see an open

relevant high and room to expand up into

it for the rest of this trading day what makes this day

even more appealing is that because we've gapped down

and opened near this relevant low this manipulation that

we're seeing take place here on an intraday basis it's

forming this small wick of that daily candle this

means it's a high likeliness for this daily candle to

be an expansion day what we don't like to see and

which reversal days we're going to completely avoid is a day like this here where where the reversal has to reach very far to reach into that relevant swing and then it trades back away.
