Top VST Plugins Part 1 - Glitch 2 - Ned Rush

Hello everyone and welcome to my new video and what is this video about?

What is it about? Well, I thought it was time that I sat down and had a beer and had some fun with some plugins that I like very, very much.

So, just gonna open my beer and drink some of it.

Please drink responsibly. Anyway, so yeah,

I mean, I suppose over the course of the years, my YouTube

channel has been sort of quite, you

know, within the confines of certain parameters when it comes to the tools that I like to play around with when I shoot videos.

and I've never been much

of a VST person I'll be honest I

think that the the tools that

I use offer plenty in

order for me to realize my creative

visions there's a hell of a lot of plugins out there that really just kind of just do the same thing you know it's like oh here's

another Roland Space Echo plugin or

here's another API channel

strip plugin or here's another Neve console

plugin or something and I'll be honest I've

you know fooled around with some of those plugins and I've kind of thought you know what yeah it's nice but really the ones that I've

always gravitated towards are the ones that are

just inspiring and motivate

me to actually do stuff and there's

not really that many for me I

mean I think it's fairly clear that my head is so far up my own ass that my standards are so high when it comes to my expectations of what constitutes

good music and you know i'm sure

that i and you can equally live with that but

amongst such a huge world of choice and

options it's sometimes difficult to find

something that you will actually use

a lot or something that sends you deep down into rabbit holes of things that you wouldn't have expected that you would you would end up doing anyway what the hell am i talking about

What I'm talking about is that for the next so

many videos, I'm going to look at some of my favorite VST plugins for sound design, music production, sample creation and also performance.

And I'm pleased to kick off this series with Glitch 2. Oh, which I've already loaded.

I've already loaded it here. Here it is. so

i first heard about this plugin i

think maybe about 15 years ago when i was still on

pc and it was free

for pc and when

i found it and started playing around with it i couldn't

really quite believe that i i couldn't believe it i i was like no no no no no no no no you know you know

like when um you know like when like david blaine i don't really

care much about david blaine that much but you know when david blaine does a magic trick and

people just go no no no whoa whoa whoa you

know and they kind of walk off screaming i've

just knocked over everything that was kind

of this that was sort of the reaction i had when i first heard this plug-in i was like what the what that

actual what and

and then i continued to just

ice all of my music with it because i couldn't really believe what i was hearing and it actually sent me down a rabbit hole in terms of wanting to

pursue a deep understanding of how this type of stuff can be achieved which led me to do things

like make plugins in max msp and

uh make max for live devices to sell commercially and such

because i was just like i have to understand how this works i

still don't know how it works i'm forever a student of this stuff anyway

this is a plugin that can

mangle your music into god knows what with very very little effort and yet with a huge amount of flexibility

so I guess we should hear it and I couldn't think really of anything better

to demonstrate this with than the theme tune to blockbusters

so I shall initiate the sequencer and just draw in some random steps here and fade it in slowly I want to hear a little bit of blockbusters first
