I have been studying two approaches to the market that on the surface look similar, but each one fills in a gap that the other leaves open.

Together, they give you a complete system from your weekly narrative all the way down to your 15 minute or 5 minute entry with a mechanical trigger at every single step.

In this video, I'm going to break down exactly how I use TTFM and the GXT model together for my everyday trading and walk you through the complete framework step by step.

By the end of this, you're going to have a trading model you can apply immediately.

Before we get into the mechanics, I want to explain why these two models complement each other so well, because it is not obvious at first.

TTFM, the T-Trade's fractal model, is built around one foundational principle.

Price cannot reverse without forming a swing point.

The entire model is a mechanical framework for identifying when a swing point has been confirmed and when expansion is about to follow.

It gives you a precise candle-by-candle system for reading reversals and continuations across all timeframes.

It is strongest on the daily and hourly, setting bias and confirming direction.

The GXT model built by Garrett is built around profiling, specifically profiling the 4-hour candle and understanding what phase of price the market is currently in.

It tells you whether the 4-hour is in accumulation, manipulation, or expansion.

And it uses precision swing points and SMT divergence as the mechanical confirmation layer for entries off the 4-hour.

gives you the narrative, the weekly and daily read, the C2 swing point on the daily, and the CISD on the lower time frame as your entry trigger.

The GXT model gives you the 4-hour structural context that sits between the daily read and the lower time frame entry.

The TTFM approach to the weekly is built on two reference points.

The previous week high, the previous week low. Mark that too, every single week without exception.

Now you read the weekly candle closure. In TTFM, every candle closure is either a continuation closure or a reversal closure.

A continuation closure is when price takes out the previous candle's high or low and closes beyond it.

A reversal closure is when price sweeps the previous candle's high or low but closes back inside the previous range.

You have your weekly narrative. Now every evening you go to the daily chart and update your bias using the TTFM candle framework.
