اليوم، أريد أن أخبركم قصة عن الحافلة.

Today, I want to tell you a story about the bus.

في اليوم الآخر، كنت في الحافلة.

The other day, I was on the bus.

كان يجب أن نعود إلى المنزل.

My friend and I had to get home.

لذا انتظرنا الحافلة لتأتي لمدة 10 دقائق تقريبًا.

So we waited for the bus to come for maybe 10 minutes

حتى وصلت أخيرًا.

until finally it arrived.

لكنها كانت مزدحمة جدًا، مليئة بالناس مثل السردين.

But it was so packed, full of people like sardines.

توقف السائق وأخبرنا بالصعود.

The driver stopped and told us to get in.

لكننا قلنا، لا، لا نستطيع الدخول. سنأخذ التالية.

But we said, no, we don't fit. We'll take the next one.

So the driver moved on and we waited another 10 minutes.

But at that point, we had already waited 20 minutes.

I wasn't waiting any longer.

So we got on the bus and we fit just right.

لكن السائق كان يقود مثل المجنون.

But the driver was driving like a maniac.

كان علي أن أتمسك بشدة حتى لا أسقط أو أتعثر.

I had to hold on so tight so that I wouldn't fall or trip.

لم أستطع التمسك جيدًا. ثم توقف السائق مرة أخرى لالتقاط عائلة.

I could barely hold on. Then the driver stopped one more time to pick up a family.

كانت أمًا وولديها الصغيرين.

It was a mother and her two young boys.

كانوا قصيرين جدًا، لذا لم يستطع الولدان التمسك بأي من المقابض.

They were very short, so the two boys could not hold on to any of the handles.

لذا، كانوا يتأرجحون ذهابًا وإيابًا، ويسقطون ويتعثرون.

So, they were going side to side, falling and tripping.

قلت لأحد الأولاد، تمسك بي.

I told one of the boys, hold on to me.

وقالت سيدة مسنّة الشيء نفسه.

And one older lady said the same.

قالت سيدة مسنّة للأولاد، تمسكوا بي، تمسكوا بكنزتي.

One older lady told the boys, hold on to me, hold on to my sweater.

فتمسك الولد. أمسك بالسيدة واحتفظ بها بإحكام ولم يسقط مرة أخرى.

So the boy did. He grabbed the lady and held her tight and he didn't fall anymore.

كانت مشهدًا جميلًا جدًا. كانت تجربة لطيفة جدًا.

It was a very nice scene. It was a very cute experience.

ركبنا جميعًا مثل السردين طوال الطريق إلى المنزل.

We all rode like sardines the whole way home.

وبمجرد أن وصلنا أخيرًا، قلنا جميعًا وداعًا، كان من الجيد مقابلتك، وكانت تجربة جميلة جدًا.

And once we finally arrived, we all said goodbye, nice to meet you, and it was a very nice experience.

I always have nice experiences on the bus.
